Cosmetic white fillings are an ideal
solution for repairing damage caused by either tooth decay,
erosion or a fracture of a tooth. They are especially
recommended for use on front teeth, where the overall
aesthetic effect is very important but we also use extremely
durable and resistant composite materials for the filling of
the back teeth which are subjected to much higher pressures
and stresses.
Natural color of teeth varies between many shades and is
different for each person; even adjacent teeth on a single
person can be different shades. We pay special attention to
ascertaining the ideal color of the filling before we even
commence work. In cases where the crown of the tooth is
destroyed to the point that repairs cannot be completed by
the use of fillings, the recommended course of treatment is
to use dental crowns, which solve the problem very
successfully.

CROWNS AND DENTURES
Prosthetics is an area of dentistry in which we take
particular pride and in which Dr Brasanac Dental Practice
has a far-reaching reputation. Patients from all over
the country, as well as worldwide, have crowns, bridges and
dentures made by our practice specialists. Sometimes it is
sufficient to have just 3 or 4 of your own teeth and you can
walk out of the practice after a few days with a natural
looking full set of teeth, made of the latest artificial
materials. Fixed bridgework is made without plastic plates
or metal hooks around your teeth or any other elements that
affect the beauty of your smile. In cases where a larger
number of teeth are present, the results are particularly
successful and permanent by use of crowns and bridges. Total
loss of teeth is solved by the use of full dentures, which
are comfortable and well fitting.

TEETH WHITENING
Teeth whitening is the quickest and easiest way of improving
the way you look and adding a shine to your smile. It is a
completely safe and very simple procedure. Through the use
of teeth whitening the enamel becomes lighter, and the teeth
look younger and shinier.
The procedure can be performed in two ways, on a single tooth or
a full jaw.
1)
Single tooth whitening is
performed where a tooth has changed color for any reason and
the procedure is done at our practice in one or more visits
2)
The whitening of all teeth
is performed by creating custom made trays. These trays are
transparent, unnoticeable and are used at home over a couple of
nights. The trays are filled with a whitening agent – Carbamid
Peroxide gel, which is harmless to the teeth and is imported
directly from USA.
In both cases the result are whiter teeth and a healthier
looking smile!
At our practice we always recommend that the teeth of one jaw
are treated first to the desired whiteness so that comparative
results are best visible and then the other jaw can be treated.
Here is a particularly successful example of
teeth whitening:

Another example of whitening with minimal
help of orthodontics usage:

Note: These results may not be
possible for all patients but, as you can see, the results
can be very significant and noticeable.
ORTHOPAEDICS OF TEETH AND JAWS
The
correction of teeth and bite using fixed and removable
braces in children and adults has been performed for the
past 15 years with great success at Dr Brasanac Dental
Practice. People tended not to pay too much attention to
this aspect of dental care in the past. However, these days
young people in western countries as well as our own are
becoming more aware of the importance of the correct
position of teeth, for aesthetic as well as dental health
reasons.
Today,
there is a large variety of materials and techniques
utilized in orthodontic treatments. We work with only well
tested internationally proven companies and methods.
Both commitment and sufficient motivation is
required during the process, as well as good hygiene of the
teeth and mouth.
DENTAL JEWELERY (ZIRCONS)
The latest
world fashion trend of the MTV generation is dental jewelry
(zircons). These can be a colored or
colorless diamond-like accessory, which is placed on the
tooth using special glue without any damage to the tooth.
